Grids are used to display large groups of records in a column format.  This format can be more easily used when viewing multiple records.  Grid columns can be re-arranged, sorted, grouped or filtered.

ROW INDICATORS

This indicator shows a selected row.  This arrow points to the specific row you have clicked.

This indicator shows a row that is being modified.  The arrow points to the specific row you have clicked and the pencil indicates you have made a change.  To save the changes made, press the TAB key or click on another row in the grid.  To abort changes, press the ESC key.

This indicator shows a NEW row that is being added.  The arrow points to the specific row you are adding and the asterisk indicates this is a new record.

 

SIZING

To SIZE a column (stretch or shrink the size) hold the cursor over the edge of the column until it changes to a sizing tool.

This is a sizing tool.  With the sizing tool displayed, hold down the left mouse button and drag the column to the desired size.
