Clock In/Out

Click the RAM Quick Launch icon to access the Clock In/Out option.
 

The Clock In/Out option allows you to track your employees time on the computer.  Be aware the time on your computer must be accurate to use this option.  Users must be set to be employees in the user maintenance option.

 

To clock in or out

 

1. Choose your user ID from the drop-down box of employees.

 

2. Check the time on the status bar at the bottom of the screen to verify the time you are clocking in or out.

 

 

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS - CLOCK IN/OUT

Choose Employee

This drop-down box contains the employees entered previously in the User file.


Choose the user from the drop-down box and the information for that user is automatically displayed on the screen.  If you type the user name instead of selecting it from the drop-down box press TAB to display the user information.

Employee Information

The employee number, name and location number are listed after the employee is chosen.

Enter Password

The employee must input a password in order to clock in or clock out.  Press TAB after you input the password.

Time Record

The time transactions in and out are listed in this box.

Clock In/Out Button

The clock in or clock out buttons are displayed depending on the last time transaction for this employee.

 

3. Clock In Now?

If you are clocked out as your last transaction you are prompted to clock in.

 

Click CLOCK IN NOW  to clock in.

 

4. Clock Out Now?

If you are clocked in as your last transaction you are prompted to clock out.

 

Click CLOCK OUT NOW to clock out.

 


Overtime Calc

You can choose how your company calculates overtime in Company Setup under Misc. Information.  Choose between "Over 40 Hours" per week, or "Over 8 Hours" per day.

 

RESULTS OF CLOCKING IN/OUT

When a user clocks in or out, the system time is recorded as an employee time transaction to be listed on this user's time sheet.

Why is this option disabled?

Remember, the system must be open in order use an option which changes or updates information.
Click Open the Day before using this option.
