The Style file allows you to set up the many different styles of inventory you may have. This option is especially useful for furniture. You may have two different styles of black living room suites. This file allows you to distinguish them by style "Early American" or "Contemporary".
Styles are used by the Inventory File to help identify or describe inventory. The styles entered in this file are listed in the drop-down box on the Inventory screen.

This is an example of (4) four style records. Style records are displayed in a grid.
To add a style record
Click the ADD button at the top of the style form. Fill in the fields in each column according to the descriptions below.

This column contains the unique (3) three character code you assign to each style record. |

This column contains he name of the style. |

This column contains a shorter version of the style name used on reports with limited column space. Input a shorter style name for this field. For example, if the style name was "Contemporary with Mirror" you could input CTM W/MIR for the report name. |

To print a file listing
Click the PRINT button at the top of the form to print a list of the file displayed.

If you do not want to track a style code for an inventory item, you must ADD a style code with the name "NOT USED" or "NO STYLE", some way to designate that there is not a style being tracked. Use this style code when adding inventory for which you do not want to track the style. |
