Purge Data

The Purge Data option is used to permanently remove old data from the system. This option automatically determines the age of the data based on the date you input. Once this process has completed it cannot be reversed without restoring a backup. As part of the Purge Data option, a backup is automatically generated. You must have a valid backup location set in the Change Backup Location option in order for the automatic backup to work properly.

Before you continue, you should double-check the date you wish to purge. Read this section to make sure that what you want to occur is what this option performs. This option cannot be canceled or undone without restoring a backup.

To purge data

1. Select a date to purge data as of, this date tells the system to purge records on or before the date you input.

2. Click PROCEED.

Records Purged
Inventory	All inventory items disposed on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
History	All history records terminated or paid out on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Customer	All customer records for customers who have not rented since the date you input are removed from the database.
Commitment	All commitment records fulfilled on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Service	All service records completed on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Loaner	All loaner records returned on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Payment	All payment records for items paid out or terminated on or before the date you input are removed from the database. Also the following payment records are purged: 1. If payments exist without an agreement record. 2. If payments exist without an agreement history record.
Depreciation	All depreciation records for items with a disposal date on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Club Member	All club member records for club members terminated on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Bad Check	All bad check records for bad checks for items written off or paid out on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
Summary	All summary records on or before the date you input are removed from the database.
