Offsets

 

 

 

 

The Offset is the location of the tire/wheel assembly in relation to the suspension.   Offset is the measured difference between the wheel's mounting face where it bolts to the hub and the center line of the rim.  When the mounting face directly aligns with the wheel's center line, the wheel has zero offset.  When the mounting face is toward the wheel's street side, the wheel has positive offset.  Negative offset occurs when th mounting face is closer to the brake side of the wheel.

 

This is an example of the offset grid, with (3) three offset records  listed.  Offset records are displayed in a grid.

 

To add an offset

 

Click the ADD button at the top of the offset form. Fill in the fields in each column according to the descriptions below.

 

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS - OFFSETS

Code

This field is used to identify the offset record.

Name

This field refers to the name assigned to this offset.

Report Name

This field refers to the report name, which is a shorter version of the offset name to be listed on reports with limited column space.

 

To print a file listing

 

Click the PRINT button at the top of the offset form.

 


Do you Rent Wheels/Tires?

If the Do you Rent Wheels/Tires? option is checked in Company Setup, this file is available for tracking these fields on wheel or tire inventory.
